How to Analyze Your Hunting Efficiency
Kills Per Hour vs. Loot Per Hour
Hunting efficiency isn't just about kill speed — it's about loot value per hour. A Goblin Thief (38 HP, 12 damage) dies fast but drops low-value items. A Goblin Ogre (124 HP, 16 damage, 12 defense) takes longer to kill but drops higher-value materials. The analyzer accounts for kill time, potion consumption, and expected loot value to show your actual net profit per zone per hour.
Potion Cost vs. Survival Benefit
Health Potions (40 HP restore, ~10 coins to buy from Kweebec Merchant) represent a real cost against hunting profit. If you're consuming 2 potions per Zone 2 encounter cycle, that's 20 coins of overhead against your loot haul. The analyzer includes consumable costs in the efficiency formula so you see net coins per hour, not just gross loot value.
Zone Difficulty Scaling
Zone 1 enemies like Goblin Thieves are approachable in Bronze gear. Zone 2 Goblin Ogres (124 HP, 16 damage) require at least Bronze full set plus Health Potions for comfortable farming. Zone 2 also has Ghouls at 193 HP and 48 damage with a Fast movement tag — significantly more dangerous. The analyzer lets you compare efficiency across zones so you know when upgrading gear to farm a harder zone actually improves net earnings.
Running an Efficiency Analysis
Your gear determines kill speed and survivability. Bronze armor with a basic sword has a different kill rate against Goblin Ogres than Adamantite with a Longsword. Enter your actual equipped gear for accurate efficiency numbers.
Choose the enemy type you're farming. Each enemy has a specific HP, damage, and defense value. The analyzer looks up these stats automatically from the game data and applies your weapon DPS against their defense to calculate time-to-kill.
Enter how many Health Potions you typically use per farming session. This cost is deducted from the loot value total to give a realistic net profit. Underestimating potion use is the most common reason efficiency projections don't match real results.
Run analysis for Zone 1 vs. Zone 2 with your current gear. The results show whether the higher loot from Zone 2 outweighs the extra potions and longer kill times. This comparison often reveals that gear upgrades unlock dramatically better farming ROI.
Common Questions
Goblin Ogres have 124 HP and 12 defense. A Longsword at 9.6 sustained DPS (8 damage × 1.2 hits/s) minus 12 defense resistance takes roughly 25–30 seconds per kill. At that rate, you need good survivability to farm efficiently — at least Bronze full set or Steel Chest to keep potion consumption below 1 per encounter.
Defense reduces incoming damage per hit. Goblin Ogre's 16 damage against Bronze armor's 9% resistance becomes ~14–15 damage. Against Adamantite's 14.4% resistance, it drops to ~13–14. The difference sounds small per hit, but over a 30-minute session it means fewer potion uses and higher net profit margins.
Goblin Thieves in Zone 1 are the safest farm but low value. Goblin Ogres in Zone 2 offer the best balance for mid-tier gear — manageable HP (124) with above-average drops. Ghouls (193 HP, 48 damage, Fast) are Zone 2's hardest enemy and only efficient with Adamantite or higher plus consistent kill speed.
