How to Read Equipment Comparisons
Read Resistance as Effective HP
Physical resistance percentages translate directly to effective HP in sustained combat. With 14.4% physical resistance (Adamantite Chest), a hit that would deal 40 damage drops to 34. Over a 20-hit encounter, that's 120 effective extra HP — more meaningful than the flat +24 health bonus sounds in isolation.
Slot Priority When Comparing
Chest pieces carry the most stats of any armor slot — switching your chest from Bronze (17 health, 9% resistance) to Adamantite (24 health, 14.4% resistance) has nearly twice the defensive impact of upgrading your gloves. When resources are limited, compare within the chest slot first, then legs, helmet, and finally gloves.
Check Material Cost Before Committing
The material list for each piece in the comparison shows what you'll spend to craft it. Pay attention to which materials overlap between pieces — if you're already farming Adamantite Ore for the chest, the bars you smelt can stretch to cover the legs and helmet too, so it's often worth comparing the full set rather than a single slot.
Quick Reference: Stat Ranges by Tier
| Tier | Helmet Health | Chest Health | Legs Health | Gloves Health | Phys. Resist (Chest) |

| Steel (Tier 2) | — | +17 | — | — | — |
| Adamantite (Tier 3) | +14 | +24 | +19 | +11 | 14.4% |
Using the Comparison Tool
Select an armor slot (Helmet, Chest, Legs, or Gloves) to filter available pieces.
Click empty slots to add armor pieces. Click the × to remove a piece you want to swap out.
Compare the highlighted "Best" rows at the bottom — they show which piece wins on each stat.
Check the Materials Required section on each card before deciding. The best stats don't help if you can't afford the craft.
Common Questions
You can drag pieces between slots to reorganize the comparison layout. Useful when you want to put the top candidate in the first column for visual clarity.
The comparison footer shows which item leads on each stat — highest health, highest physical resistance, highest projectile resistance, and lowest total material cost. No single item will win every category.
The slot filter restricts comparison to one slot at a time, since cross-slot comparisons (Helmet vs. Chest) don't produce meaningful results — each slot contributes differently to your total stats.
