What this calculator covers

Class and weapon synergy

Base damage, class scaling, and weapon scaling are combined to reflect your current build.

Defense impact

Input armor or magic resistance to see how much damage is reduced before bonuses apply.

Temporary bonuses

Add short-term buffs and damage boosts to simulate time-limited windows or team support.

Practical Use Cases

Comparing Two Weapons for Your Build

You're level 18 Ranger with 22 STR / 35 AGI / 12 INT and you're choosing between two bows. The first bow has 180 base damage with 0.3 AGI scaling. The second has 210 base damage but only 0.15 AGI scaling.

Plug both into the calculator. With your 35 AGI, the first bow shows 246 DPS after class multipliers. The second shows 238 DPS. Even though the second bow has higher base damage, your AGI investment makes the first bow stronger. This comparison helps you pick gear that aligns with your current stat distribution.

Result: First bow wins by 3.4% DPS despite lower base damage.

Testing Buff Windows for Boss Fights

You're preparing for a boss encounter and want to know if activating your damage buff (25% increase for 15 seconds) during a specific phase is worth it. Enter your base stats, then add the 25% bonus modifier.

Your normal DPS is 420. With the buff active, it jumps to 525. The boss has 12,000 health in your current party size. Without the buff, you need 28.6 seconds to kill. With the buff timed correctly, you save 5.1 seconds. If the boss enters an invulnerable phase at 30 seconds, using the buff early makes the difference between clearing and wiping.

Takeaway: Buff timing during high-pressure windows can save your run.

Evaluating Armor Penetration Value

An enemy has 40 armor, and you're dealing 350 base DPS. The calculator shows that after armor reduction, you're only hitting for 268 actual DPS (23.4% reduction). You have the option to pick a powerup that adds 15% armor penetration or one that adds 12% flat damage.

With 15% penetration, enemy armor drops to 34, and your effective DPS rises to 283. With 12% flat damage, your DPS goes to 300. In this scenario, the flat damage powerup wins. But if the enemy had 60 armor instead, penetration would pull ahead. The calculator helps you make these decisions based on actual enemy stats.

Decision: Flat damage is better against low-armor targets; penetration scales better against high-armor enemies.
